Unfortunately, I have no scanner, so this is the best picture I could take with my digital camera.
So, meet Taiyo, my Tengu. Sadly, he doesn't have a phallic nose (birth defect?) but other than that, he's dressed in the traditional outfit for those demons. While drawing this, I realized how awesome it is that the Japanese have set costumes for their demons. I wonder if the yokai had to agree on their clothes, or if it was just how it's always been. Also, the thing in his hand is a Kiseru, a traditional japanese pipe. If I were to ever smoke, that's what I'd smoke with. |
